NSW Emerging Planners Network

What we do

The NEPN (New South Wales Emerging Planners Network) is your local group for Emerging Planners supported by the NSW Division of PIA.

We are here to connect, support and inform NSW Emerging Planners through events, regular updates and representation. Being a member of the NEP opens up a range of valuable opportunities and pathways:

Professional development: Attend forums/seminars on critical planning issues or topical planning projects

Representation: Get involved in an organisation that actively seeks to have issues relevant to the profession and the future of NSW raised in the public domain

Networking: Attend networking events to develop new contacts within the profession

Mentoring: Receive guidance and support from senior members of the planning profession;

Socialisation: Meet your peers in more relaxed social events and find your community.

Sponsorship

The activities of the NSW EPs are not possible without the support of employers and their companies. A range of sponsorship opportunities are available and are an excellent way for an organisation or company to show their support for the NSW EPs.

Policy

PIA NSW Emerging Planners have developed a policy and advocacy platform focusing on the issues that most deeply affect young people. The paper explores housing, climate, economy, culture and the role of planning. The platform will guide engagement with and by young planners. Read the EP position paper here
