Planning Matters: A DTP Briefing Series brings together Department of Transport and Planning speakers with expertise across planning and building initiatives, providing a practical platform to inform, educate and support the planning profession. Each session will deliver timely updates on reforms and implementation activity, explain what changes mean in practice, and provide a Q&A moderated by a PIA VIC Committee Member to help planners apply guidance confidently in their day-to-day work.

Aidan O'Neill is an Executive Director of Precincts at the Department of Transport and Planning where he leads the delivery of the Victorian Government’s Priority Precinct Program, focussing on designated Priority Precincts/Employment and Innovation Areas as outlined in Plan for Victoria. Aidan is an experienced urban planner with significant experience in strategic planning, urban design, policy development and infrastructure planning for major urban renewal and greenfield master planned projects. He is passionate about the creation of quality urban environments and public places.
