The 2012 PIA National Congress was a great success and planning is already underway for an outstanding event for 2013 in Canberra.

Delegates at this year's event found plenty of value in the content of the program. Keynote speakers shared revealing, informative and useful information in each of the presentations - whether it was Maggie Beer's enlightened observations on the need to protect productive agricultural land or Panu Lehtovuori's presentation on how a culture change in planning transformed parts of Northern Europe... all keynotes were interesting. This year's break out sessions were extremely well attended and the Master Classes were a great success.
A memorable social agenda and the 'booked out' site tours meant everybody made the most of Adelaide.

The 2012 Congress immediately followed the YP Connect conference at Glenelg. Here professional young planners were well informed on career issues and planning opportunities. They were also able to share their thoughts and ideas.
