Expressions of Interest- Rural and Regional Work Experience Program

The Western Australian Young Planners Group (WAYPG) are seeking Expressions of Interest from those interested in participating in the 2012 Rural and Regional Work Experience Program. The program was established in 2010 and due to its success the program is now run annually and encourages young planners to actively participate in rural and regional planning through a work placement. Although this program is a work experience program, it is envisaged that it will create new opportunities for work places to showcase the many benefits of living and working in the Great Southern, Mid-West, Pilbara and Kimberley Regions.

The 2012 program will involve a three week work experience placement with a local government or state government body and is aiming to be undertaken mid year 2012 during the study break. It is anticipated the relevant work place will cover costs involved with travel and accommodation expenses of their chosen Young Planner for the duration
of their stay.

Should you be interested in discussing the program further, please complete the Expression of Interest
Form which can be obtained below and return to Tyson Burkett via email to Tyson@allerdingassoc.com by Monday 14th May 2012.

Minimum requirements for progressing your interest are:
-You must be a 3rd, 4th or a post graduate student enrolled in Urban and Regional Planning;
- Written support (sign off) from your course year coordinator must be included with the EOI
form.
