PIA Step Up Program

The Planning Institute of Australia’s Victorian Division is committed to addressing the technical planning skills shortage currently being experienced in our state through the ‘Step Up Program’. This program also delivers the significant additional benefit of giving people who are starting out in their planning career a ‘step up’ by linking practical work experience with education.

PIA Victoria conducts a number of different internship projects and short courses, which are collectively referred to as being part of the Institute’s ‘Step Up Program’. There are numerous opportunities to undertake an internship, host a student planner at your organisation, or undertake training to become a local government planning assistant.
