Policy Development
The PIA Strategic Plan identifies Policy and Agenda Setting as a strategic priority for the Institute. PIA Policy is developed to influence all levels of government in policy setting and influence public opinion on planning issues.
The Board of Directors has established a National Policy Committee to develop and lead national policy. The National Policy Committee has a representative from each Division and four national members, including the President. Form ore information, please refer to the Terms of Reference and membership of this Committee. The Committee meets on a regular basis and reports regularly to the Board of Directors. National Policy is focussed on leading the debate on planning issues of national and international significance. At the State and Territory level, policy is developed by Divisions through local committees to address matters to address planning issues of state/territory significance.
