Australian Red Cross International Volunteer Program
The Australian Red Cross became an AusAID volunteer service provider in late 2010, and has recently begun launching international volunteer placements.
The Red Cross vision is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity. Their goal is to strengthen the capacity of host organisations to improve the lives of people in need. As an international volunteer, you make a commitment to working side-by-side with local people in helping to facilitate individuals, organisations and communities fulfil their goals and achieve their full potential.

The International Division aims to:
• Provide services to support PIA members based overseas and those seeking opportunities to work abroad.
• Enhance awareness of international issues in planning
• Utilise resources and networks to promote the capacity of PIA members for planning practice overseas
• Strengthen the role of Australian planners within international planning networks and their contribution to the global planning agenda.
