PIA SA is hosting the Eastern Regional Organisation of Planning and Human Settlements (EAROPH) Golden Jubilee Congress in 2010.  This is a very exciting venture for us, our affiliates and indeed South Australia.

Extremely topical issues, high profile speakers and around a thousand delegates are expected.  We anticipate a response similar to the last EAROPH congress held in 1986 (which some of you may remember!) and that is: interactive and inspirational with a point of difference.

This will override our usual State Conference and our Awards for Planning Excellence will be held in conjunction with this.

Food Security: ‘Beyond Backyards – Food Production in the City’

Thursday 25th February 2010, 2pm – 5pm, @ the Sebel Playford, 120 North Terrace, Adelaide.

Topics of discussion will include Edible Landscapes, Community Gardens, the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market and Lochiel Park. Guest speakers include Zannie Flanagan (CEO of the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market), Debbie Saegenschnitter (OuterSpace) followed by a Panel Discussion.
