Breakfast Seminar
The seminar provides a brief overview of the theory of social planning to provide the basis for social planning practices. There are three main types of social planning, this seminar focuses on the 'social impact assessment' methods for identifying and mitigating the impacts of development upon rural and remote communities. The first case study illustrates how Sense of Place can be integrated in planning schemes, and the second describes the impact of a resource development upon the community of Chillagoe.
