Designing for Floods
Good Urban Planning is about managing constraints, not necessarily avoiding them. The recent floods offer the opportunity to revisit old concepts and to provide some new ideas about design and development within our urban framework.
This seminar presents four dynamic thinkers: Michael Rayner and Greg Tupicoff will provide some innovative solutions; and following their presentations they will be joined in a panel session by Professor Darryl Low Choy and Assoc Professor Peter Skinner.
Peter Edwards (Archipelago architects) - Chair.
Michael Rayner and Greg Tupicoff - Presenters. (Greg will commence his presentation at 5:30pm followed by Michael at 6pm.)
These presentations will be followed by a Panel session which will include the 2 Presenters, Professor Darryl Low Choy (Griffith University) and Assoc Professor Peter Skinner (University of Queensland).
This is a joint PIA QLD and UDAL seminar
