Townsville City Council’s Draft City Plan will soon enter a 60 business day consultation period. The Draft City Plan is of critical significance to those involved in the development industry and those undertaking business in Townsville. Join the Planning Institute of Australia and development industry leaders as Townsville City Council reveal its highly anticipated Draft City Plan and vision for the wider Townsville community.
Townsville City Council's Manager, City Planning Unit, Paul Johnston has been instrumental in coordinating and overseeing the preparation of the new document and will provide insight into the key differences and improvements of the Draft City Plan, touching on the strategic direction underpinning the document. As Planning and Development Chair, Councillor Tony Parsons will discuss the importance of the Draft City Plan for Townsville’s development industry.
Presented in week 2 of the formal public consultation period of the Draft City Plan, the event will provide the first opportunity for the broader development industry to receive a full overview of the new Draft City Plan and to query Council on the details of the new document.
