Celebrate Success: Each year, the PIA Awards for Planning Excellence recognizes outstanding efforts in planning, innovation, and excellence in the built environment. Join us at a cocktail reception in the lush surrounds of Government House Ballroom.

The PIA Awards for Planning Excellence recognise innovation, quality and excellence in the built environment, specifically in areas related to or involved in planning Australia's cities, towns, regions and places.

This event is convened annually around World Town Planning Day in order to emphasise the important role of the Planning Profession in the development of Western Australia, and to raise public awareness of good planning practice.

While the prime objective of the awards is to recognise the highest achievement in planning excellence, a secondary objective is to provide a showcase of the high standard of planning throughout Western Australia.

Recipients of the PIA Planning Excellence Awards receive a personalised certificate and citation at a special presentation ceremony on Friday 29 October,2010. The number of state winners that go on and win national awards is significant and reflects our commitment to improving the quality of Western Australian Life.
